COXSACKIE B VIRUS

STILL KICK'N (5/08)

Yup, I'm still around (unfortunately). It took me a while before I could post on my blog. Between being sick, sicker and the sickest. . .I've also had to move, again. Twice within a year-and-a-half. After my first move, I was bed ridden for four-months. This time, not as long, but just as overwhelming. My doctor and I are still trying to find a way (any way, whether it be alternative medicine, holistic healing, acupuncture, or the medical field) to get me well. UC Davis (Director of Infectious Diseases) turned me down. UC Irvine is doing a study in Infectious Diseases, but they are not conducting any studies that pertain to Enteroviruses (that figures). I guess the Scripts Medical Center will be one of my last hopes as far as the medical field goes. We've covered every medical facility from coast-to-coast (and everywhere in between). I'm finding that specialists in the medical industry see my medical records, the radical treatments performed and freak out. I guess they figure that if those treatments did not help, they have nothing better to offer. I have made a resolution this year to try and keep my spirits high and don't give up on myself. I will continue moving forward on finding anything and/or anyone who might be able to give me some sort of relief, piece of mind, comfort, or, in other words, normalcy! Is that too much to ask for?

FYI, I have found an organization called, NAET (Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Testing) treatment facility. I have read Dr. Nambudripad's book called "Say Goodbye to Illness" (great book by the way). I have contacted their offices, explained my situation and treatments and they think there may be a possibility to do something for me. The process will be a long one. . .and something is better than nothing. Just the possibility of some sort of help and/or relief would be amazing. However, what concerns me is that the patients they have helped in the past (with the same virus as me), were not as sick as I have been. Specialists I have already seen, have never seen anything like it (me). So keep your fingers crossed and I'll keep you informed. In the meantime, I'm hanging in and still kick'n.
